If you have some magazine subscriptions expiring and want to get some discount prices, I found a very good coupon code for you. It’s for Subscription Addition and the code is mom15per, good for 15% off. And you don’t need to be a mom to use it, lol. Click the magazine subscriptions link to see what’s available. It’s a very, very good deal. Lots of stuff, a good variety there.
I figure the discount magazine venue is probably booming, because regular-price, retail magazine subscriptions gone through the roof again. I guess the magazine editors are suffering with the poor economy and the increase in electronic media… if so, the last thing they should do is jack up their retail prices! I had to cancel my “This Old House” and “New England Home” subscriptions through the retail outlets because they wanted me to pay more than $50 a year for them! One of the others (forgot now what it was, some architectural magazine) wanted $134 a year! Yeehaw, that’s a bundle of money. I would never pay full retail price, never. Discount subscriptions are just as good and it’s the same magazine! I have seen some subscriptions total only a third of the regular retail price. I have tried a few “frugal” mag subscription places before, but this one is especially nice because they have a very good selection. For example, “Extreme How To” in Home & Garden is 57% off right now, that’s about $19 a year. Sweet.
I’ve never been much of a magazine reader but I like the do-it-yourself stuff because they often have many tips and advice on the smaller projects that larger books overlook. So I was sad to see my subscriptions go. But now I see that it actually worked out for good because I can get much better prices with the discount website. DEFINITELY take a look if you are paying lots of money for your mags.

:) I’m a married mom of four teenage children. We live in Upstate New York. We bought an old 1855 home and acre property, over 10 years ago. We've been in the slow, agonizing process of living in the home while (trying) to renovate it. When I'm not renovating, I'm a freelance writer and blogger.
We've learned to dig a French drain, plant huge flower and vegetable gardens, wire a circuit panel, install furnace ducting, understand the enigmatic complexities of the plumbing system, and more. It's been *quite* the adventure.
