Livvy’s been in a funk lately. The spring air and increase of rodent activity inside and outside has her feline blood surging. Take me outside! she meows. She’s inconsolable, meowing incessantly and turning up the “cuteness” effect to try and bamboozle one of us to open the door and allow her to roam. NOT.
So the grump has her angry spurts. She skulks behind chairs and under packaging debris. When one of us passes by, she swipes us with a soft paw.

Her tactics are not effective. Shredding my ankles does not inspire me to throw her out the door. This cat IS driving me bonkers, though! LOL. She has spring fever big time.
I don’t dare let her out, though. She’s too precious. Either she’d be run down by the crazy traffic or someone would see how beautiful she is and kidnap her. I tell her she’s an “indoor kitty.” She won’t listen. She pouts, she cries, she throws fits. *sigh* The terrible teens…..
How are your critters faring, now that spring is around the corner?

:) I’m a married mom of four teenage children. We live in Upstate New York. We bought an old 1855 home and acre property, over 10 years ago. We've been in the slow, agonizing process of living in the home while (trying) to renovate it. When I'm not renovating, I'm a freelance writer and blogger.
We've learned to dig a French drain, plant huge flower and vegetable gardens, wire a circuit panel, install furnace ducting, understand the enigmatic complexities of the plumbing system, and more. It's been *quite* the adventure.

She still hates the leash?
Tobi refused to go outside if its snowing, raining or a little cold. He is a big baby. We have to put down pee pee pads for him because of his refusal to go out. I can’t buy the dog pee pads, they are too cheaply made. I have to buy the human bed pads for the floor and they are expensive. In the nice weather he loves to go out and I can’t wait because then we don’t have to spend so much money on the pads.

I’m glad to hear you are not letting her out, at least not without you and on a lead. Someone would for sure kidnap her!

Hobbes meows to go out, taps on the door to come in, eats and then repeats the whole process. He’s got cabin fever too! He’s really mad because we won’t let him outside after dark, so he lies on the floor by the door and kicks it. It’s ridiculous.
