Find the Kitty, pets

Can you spot her? Where could she be?

Hint: It’s where cats love to be….

Isn’t she the sweetest thing?! She often hops onto the clothes dryer to nestle in a laundry basket. She cares not if the basket is filled with socks, just as long as it’s warm and cozy. Gotta love cats.

We took her with us on our trip to Virginia. Yes, a 10 hour drive EACH WAY. She was…. vocal. We didn’t need to lock her in a carrier, she behaved well enough with her harness and leash. But we think she howled during the ride because she probably got carsick. After a few hours, she settled down and snoozed. She even used the litter box! What a good girl!

When i told my brother in Virginia that I would be bringing Livvy, he was incredulous. “You’re bringing your cat?!” he said. I explained that Livvy was a member of the family, that Siamese are special, etc etc. He doubted, can you believe it! But as soon as he saw her, he said, “Oh my gosh, what a beautiful cat!” And by the time we were packing up to go back home, my brother asked me if he could have Livvy. šŸ˜€ I said of course not! What would all her blogging fans do without her?!

Gosh that was a long trip for Livvy. Glad she was a good girl. But so be careful letting Livvy get in the clothes dryer. A friend of mine killed her cat in one cause she didn’t know that cat was in there and there might be a day when you are in a hurry and don’t see her.

Oh, and that thing that Orange boy is sitting in is a cement pot for flowers. The cats like it so much, I don’t put anything in it.

Thanks for explaining that flower pot thing. Too funny!

Have no fear– we are always very careful about Livvy and where she goes. the dryer door is always closed except when I’m putting laundry in it at the moment. Sometimes she may jump in, but we make sure she always comes out before we load it with clothes. Thanks for the warning. I’m rather freaky about where she is at any time. If we don’t see her around, the family puts her on an All Points Bulletin until we find her. One night, my son saved her– she had sneaked outside in the dark, but his routine APB called us all to action. We found her at the border of the property, thank God.

She IS the sweetest thing! I strangely do not have cats who like to nestle in or on laundry. The one who passed away in September was a laundry lover, though. The others? They didn’t learn the fine art, I guess. They will, however, burrow under blankets, but I never care if those have an inch of hair on them!

Until I read JD Kathy’s comment I thought a love of warm laundry baskets was hardwired into the genetic code.I’m glad you brought our lovely Miss Livvy back home.
