Find the Kitty

We snapped this photo before we gutted the dining room. Where could she be?!

FTK 5.28.2010

I do like the old red walls. We will be painting them red again. The dark wall color and light trim helps to settle down the room a bit. The dining room is like the house’s passageway, as it connects the front entry to the living room, and the kitchen to the living room. Plus, it’s also the only access to the basement and the attached garage. PLUS it has four windows! It’s a very, very busy room and requires more careful thought and attention even than best back acne treatment (haha! how’s that?). Anyway, I’m going to be sparse in my furnishing for this room, too– emphasis on traditional style and elegance.

Our week has been in a lull; we’re doing mostly things like cleaning up, planning the next steps, etc. We intend to start back up on Sunday, and from then on, it’s gung ho renovation. I’ll have more about what stuff we’re installing (my new dishwasher arrives tomorrow!!) and how we will install the PEX plumbing supply and ethernet wiring… oh, lots of stuff! Thanks for reading!

Ha-ha, at least she’s not in the bird cage…

My human also likes dark walls with light trim; in our old house, her bathroom was a deep eggplant with a light, buff yellow trim (plus the original 1930s light dusty pink tile). My house now (that’s right, MY house, not hers) still has the paint from the old owner. So far, my human hasn’t come up with anything better, or if she has, she hasn’t budgeted it yet.

We’re looking forward to step 2 of your adventure!

We found her. Where else would a cat be but in the laundry?? We too are looking forward to the next step although we are still exhausted from the last step and we know you are too.
    Have a great week end.
