I had to read the comments to your post – I’ve seen this, thought it’s way too expensive, and never considered buying it. Apparently, it isn’t just a gimmick. I think I need to investigate – especially since Princess has gotten so fat that she can’t clean her own back. I only know this b/c I’ve found mats on her – and tried to cut them out. She wasn’t real hot on that idea. Go figure.

I wanna hear what you have to say about it. And I also love Buy.com. Their electronics sales are awesome! xx

My vet’s office used to have this DVD playing on repeat for the Furminator. My dog Bailey sheds like you wouldn’t believe. To look at him, you wouldn’t think he would. He has short, smooth hair, but it’s all a big deception. His hair sheds year long and sticks like it has been superglued to every thing it touches.

Anyway, I asked the vet, since the commercial used to play all the time in the lobby, and she said she had no idea. I would just have to try it and see.

Uh, talk about advertising a product you never use.

If you get one and it works, please let us know. If it works for a cat, it has to work on a dog. I just don’t want to shell out $30 at Petsmart and find out it doesn’t.

I have something very similar to that Fuminator, cost about the same, but is well worth it. I have a long haired black cat, and let me tell you that picture is no exaggeration! A ton of fur comes out when I brush him. Just be gentle, my cat can only tolerate short brushing sessions.

Bonnie– ROFL! No, I don’t spin or knit… lol, too bad, it sounds like! Maybe I’ll think of something to do with all that fur, who knows. Maybe even tease the dog with it, heh heh.
