The Snow Queen Goes Outside

Well, the temperatures have warmed up to a balmy 32 degrees today! Practically myrtle beach weather here in Upstate NY! The icicles are melting, the ice dams are shortening, and The Little Princess is whining. She wants to go outside in te WORST way. Three weeks ago, I did a boo-boo and carried her outside to experience snow falling. She loved it. Now, she won’t stop sniveling. She wants to go OUTSIDE. She will park herself of my computer and stare at me, whimpering.
But LIVVY!!! I have a ton of work to do– clients are waiting for their articles and she is in the way!
Well, as the saying goes: There’s more than one way to skin a cat (my apologies to you cat bloggers). I figured I’d take her outside and use this excursion as a photo opp for the blogs.
She didn’t seem to mind being used as a photo prop, not one bit. Without further ado, here she is, The Snow Queen, HRH Olivia the Sniveler.
Doesn’t she look like a Siberian tiger? I love her blue eyes.
Climbing the snow mountain.
She sees cars on the roads. And people walking. Her tail is as thick as a puma’s!
So we walked around and she explored the snow for a good 15 minutes or so. By then, we were cold and my work beckoned. She squirmed and squirmed as we walked closer to the door- she still wanted to stay out. But once inside the warm house, she gave herself a thorough bath and fell fast asleep.
Ahhhh peace and quiet at last! back to work for me…..

Who could have known that our baby would grow up to be a snow tiger? She does look so majestic in those photos.

Wow, thanks, Rebecca! She has always been the sweetest little baby.
It’s nice to know we have a beautiful and unique cat. I just love her to little bits.

I have to agree with Rebecca and Lin that she is a beautiful cat and she looks so at home in the snow. Those are great pics too of her and show her lovely markings especially on her front legs.

Snow becomes her. She totally looks like she belongs there – no wonder she didn’t want to come back inside. Snow queen indeed!

Trust me Myrtle Beach ain’t any warmer lol They say we are going to at least hit 60 for the first time in weeks but I doubt it. I still have my outside water tap dripping because it keeps going below 32 at night and not much higher during the day.

I have never in my life seen a cat that loves the snow! Wow!
Fabulous pics!
And how well trained she is on her little leash! My cats refuse to do ANY of that!!
