Thank you for all the great advice, folks. Unfortunately, we did not get the Tempupedic foundation set when we got our Tempurpedic mattress. Our foundation set is manufactured by "Sugar." We are SUPPOSED to have a 10-year warranty on manufacturer defects but the furniture store refuses to keep replacing our foundation twice a year, since it appears that Sugar will not improve their design (to my knowledge). To alleviate the noise and provide more support, we placed a piece of 1/2-inch foam board insulation between the foundation and the mattress. This helps somewhat.

Our temperpedic box spring / foundation developed an awful creak. Contacted the company told them the issue and provided copy of the receipt. They weren't fast but eventually they had brand new box springs shipped to us a no cost. Clearly is was an issue with a lot of these. Happy with the customer service in the end.

Good news is there are no springs. Research reports in late 2010 are saying that the springs you are laying on all night are main reason Americans have such high incidence of breast cancer. Due to the springs acting as unintentional radio/tv/cell phone etc. antennas and concentrating an intense array of cancer causing signals. Just something I read. Seems logical.

Thanks for all the info on this blog.

I spoke to Tempurpedic customer service and I was told that there box springs - foundations have been modified in October of 2009 because of squeaks and groaning. I would ask for a new one.

We have a king bed, split foundation with one side adjustable, which works well. My husbands side is a regular foundation. We are currently on our third replacement for the foundation and this one is creaking wildly each time he gets up during the night. It is loud enough to awaken me. I believe the company knows they have a defective product. I only hope they will change ours once again.

Are you sure that you got a true Tempurpedic? Judging by the pictures, that doesn't look like any model of Tempurpedic I have seen. Also, the boxes don't look like the standard boxes that come with a Tempurpedic.

I admire your determination to keep 'bugging' the customer service - I'm sure many people in your shoes would've already given up and just either got used to the faulty mattress/foundation set or threw it away and got a new one.
