Find the Kitty

Kitten Update!

I know you have all been waiting with tuna-baited breath, dear friends!

We’ve had her for two weeks, and she has grown so much. I feel like a dottering old mother, I dote on this critter so much. I just love the kitten stage and it is with bittersweet regret that I watch it pass. She looks so mature in this photo.

She’s a real people cat. She just hates to be alone. I had to gate her out of part of the house a few days ago, and she pleaded so pitifully on the other side. Aww, my heart almost broke.

She is losing her baby fuzz and starting to show spots of her new coat. She is looking more like a Siberian tiger than the half-Siamese that she is. See her brown and white stripes? You can also see her giant paws. She has 6 toes per paw. They make her a little clumsy.

GOTCHA! Stunned by the flash.

Livvy GOTCHA

She has two white stripes on her back. She looks a little bit like a chipmunk. She also has a slight kink at the end of her tail. You can make it out a little in the photo. I don’t know why it’s like that– must be genetic.

And for your information, it took me FOREVER to get that camera shot. Wow. I don’t know how you cat bloggers take such great photos. Everything is a blur with this baby. We just love her to bits. :)

With every day she gets a little cuter! ;-) And you are so right about the chipmunk look… squeee :-)

Well, we do have a lot of blurry photos, but we are taking dozens every day to catch one which isn’t blurry ;-)

For many years I hated cats. I mean I really really hated them. I was a dog person. After my first dog died about 14 years ago I decided not to ever have pets again. Then before long I found myself very involved with my Sunday School class and many of them had cats. Despite all my efforts I started enjoying those little “critters.” Then before long I was falling in love with them. Finally one of my friends had a cat that was having babies and another friend persuaded me to get 2 of them. So I did. The first year was unbelievable in that I so much enjoyed them. Also I might add I knew in my early years I was highly allergic to cats. So the first year of these kitten’s lives I took some homeopathic drops to ward off any allergies. It worked wonders. Then the second year of their life, their dander played havoc with me and I was consistently sick with bronchitis and phenomena. Yes….I had to give them away. I cried for weeks. I was so attached to them. They were Persian and their names were Allie and Alex. They were GORGEOUS!! Now when I see cats I have such tender heart for them EXCEPT when my stupid neighbors let them roam the neighborhood peeing all over my door and porch. Arrrrrrrrh!!!
Congrats on your adorable little kitty!!!

Russian Blues– I don’t think I;m familar with that breed; I’ll have to look for a picture!

Uh, NO she is not related to a chipmunk. I don’t think.

Oh I am so happy I’m not the only one who has to take a billion+ cat photos.

Ellen, how awful!! You’ll just have to visit my blogs from time to time to get your cat fix, electronically.

And…. right now Livvy is on my head. Great. Good thing I clipped her nails last night. She may not be a chipmunk, but maybe she’s half monkey!
