I was running an errand yesterday late afternoon and I rear ended a car. I have never had a wreck in my life. My car is 10 years old, in very good condition but with tons of miles because I'm a sales rep for my company. Luckily they pay for all my gas and we get a car allowance. But because we don't make much money AT ALL, it takes every single penny to make ends meet. Anyway, no one was hurt in the accident (Thank You God) but now I have to deal with the claims adjuster next week. Several friends say it is totaled which means I will have to get a new car. I paid off tons of debt last year in hopes to live on a budget and get some savings. I don't make enough money for a car payment and I don't have enough money in savings for all of this. Now....like you....I have been saving as much money as I can possibly save from PPP and others, plus my sewing, and cutting every corner I can on my monthly living expenses. I had saved a small cushion in my savings account and now I may have to use every penny of it and more for a new/used car. So....I am just sick sick sick about it. I told a friend about it and he said remodeling a kitchen has been compared to being rolled in hot, broken glass. I must say that almost describes the experience but I'd rather to roll in the glass . I am sure your kitchen will get done at just the perfect time and will be beautiful. Guess now you get to enjoy the summer instead!
