This is a little notification I heard through the grapevine. With the home improvement season advancing, prices for materials is going to go up. I’d heard some estimates that prices will soar 10% by the end of March. Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to buy all may materials before then, but if you do, you might want to take advantage of the opportunity now. Prices are only going to go higher, due to gasoline costs and the devaluation of the dollar. They sure are making it hard to fix a house, aren’t they???

The price of home construction has almost doubled in the past few years and prices are regularly rising.I am a brick mason by day and a blogger by night. The price of masonry materials have been rising considerable over the past year and will continue to do so.One of the reasons is part of the ingredients that make up Mortar and concrete come from China.

Hi Dwayne, and thanks for your input! Yes, home building materials are outrageously expensive. I don’t see how people can afford to build new. It’s hard enough trying to renovate. We have been doing it piecemeal over the years.
