I am finally getting to bed now… whew! I spent over 9 hours straight working on the electric in the Living Room, and it’s finished in there! Yippee! I sure hope the inspector is as happy as I am!
I have yet to wire the Entry Hall off the Living Room (easy job). After that, I go about “repair” work from the mouse-chewed wire. I’ll start with the girls’ bedroom (which is right above the Living Room and therefore has easy access). Then, I have to figure out how to restore power to my upstairs bathroom, Kitchen, Laundry Room, and make my Dining Room and Hallway lights safe (they also use the frayed knob and tube wiring).
I am uneasy about the Kitchen wiring. There are so many regulations and specifications for Kitchen wiring that it makes me faint to read about it. I am not sure I can do something so extensive.
Tomorrow I get more supplies and make my plans for wiring the bedroom. I can’t do any real wiring until my husband has a chance to drill the holes in the ceiling and through the beams for me. Such heavy-duty drilling is really too difficult for me, and I don’t want my back injury to flare up. I have been doing so well with all this activity!
I am absolutely exhausted and am going to bed!
